Fees and Referrals
Referrals and Medicare

Seeking support for your child can feel overwhelming, so we've tried to make our fees and referral process as straightforward as possible.

Do I need a referral?
No. You do not need a referral to book an appointment.
If you would like to claim a Medicare rebate for eligible psychology sessions, you will need a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from your GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist.

As of 1 July 2026, the Medicare rebate for a 50+ minute consultation with a registered psychologist under a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan is:
-
$101.55

Have you reached the Medicare Safety Net?
Families who have reached the Extended Medicare Safety Net may receive a substantially higher Medicare rebate for eligible psychology sessions, significantly reducing their out-of-pocket costs. If you're unsure whether you've reached the safety net, we're happy to help you understand what rebate you may be eligible for.

Private health rebates may also be available depending on your level of cover. Please contact your health fund directly to confirm your benefits.

Initial Assessment (60–75 minutes)
The initial appointment is an opportunity to understand your concerns, your child's strengths and challenges, and your goals for therapy.
Depending on your child's age, the session may be held with parents only or include time with your child or adolescent.
Where appropriate, we may also review information from schools, previous reports or other health professionals to help guide treatment planning.
Fee: $270
Ongoing Psychology Sessions (50 minutes)
Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes and are tailored to your child's individual needs.
Sessions may include:
-
individual therapy
-
parent consultation
-
emotional regulation support
-
behavioural and executive functioning strategies
-
school collaboration where appropriate
Appointments can be scheduled regularly or booked as needed.
Fee: $255

School-Based Sessions
For some children, meeting in their school environment can improve engagement and reduce disruption to family routines.
School visits may be suitable following the initial assessment and are arranged in collaboration with parents and the school.
Session: $255
Travel Fee: $20 - $50 (depending on kms from the clinic)
Autism & ADHD Assessments
Comprehensive assessment services are available for children, adolescents and adults.
Current assessment fees are:
-
Autism Assessment – $2,500

Please contact us before booking if you would like to discuss whether this applies to you or your child.
