Learning & Academic Assessment
Every child learns differently. While some children pick up new skills with ease, others work incredibly hard but continue to struggle with reading, writing or mathematics.
A learning assessment helps us understand how your child learns, identify their strengths, and determine whether there is an underlying learning difficulty such as dyslexia, dysgraphia or dyscalculia.
Rather than simply measuring achievement, we explore why learning feels difficult and what supports will help your child thrive both at school and at home.

Is this assessment right for my child?
A Learning & Academic Assessment may be helpful if your child:
• is struggling with reading, spelling, writing or mathematics
• works much harder than their peers but isn't making expected progress
• seems bright but their school performance doesn't reflect their ability
• is becoming frustrated, anxious or losing confidence in learning
• has been referred by their school for further assessment
Our approach
We use two internationally recognised assessment tools to build a comprehensive understanding of your child's learning profile.
WISC–V Cognitive Assessment
The WISC–V helps us understand how your child thinks and processes information, including areas such as reasoning, memory, processing speed and problem solving.
WIAT–III Academic Assessment
The WIAT–III measures your child's academic skills in areas such as reading, spelling, writing and mathematics.
By considering these assessments together, we can identify learning strengths, pinpoint areas of difficulty and determine whether your child meets criteria for a Specific Learning Disorder, such as dyslexia.
